For an unprecedented seventh consecutive year, Microtel Inn and Suites has been ranked highest in guest satisfaction among economy/budget hotel chains. This ranking was the conclusion of 2008 study by J. D. Power and Associates. Microtel is the only brand in the hotel industry to have received this recognition seven consecutive times.

The 2008 North America Hotel Guest Satisfaction Index Study is based on responses gathered between June 2007 and June 2008 from more than 53,000 guests who stayed in a hotel between May 2007 and June 2008.  Microtel outperformed competitors in six out of seven key guest satisfaction measures including reservations, check-in/check-out, guestroom, hotel services, hotel facilities, and costs and fees.

“Microtel Inn and Suites performs a particularly impressive feat by ranking highest in the economy/budget segment for a seventh consecutive year, something no other brand has achieved in this study’s 12-year history,” said Linda Hirneise, executive director at J.D. Power and Associates.

Currently there are more than 300 Microtel Inn and Suites across the nation with more under construction. Each hotel provides free local and long distance telephone calls, free high speed Internet access, and a free continental breakfast. In addition, frequent guests receive one free night’s lodging for every nine stays.

The hotel features all queen beds, interior corridors, a refrigerator in every room, a small group meeting room, children under 16 stay for free in parents’ room, and coffee/juice available 24/7.
