Seminar to cover family leave issues

Georgia Southern University invites human resource personnel and other managers to learn better salary solutions for employees with medical conditions at the University’s next Legal Awareness in the Workplace (LAW) seminar.

Taught by an employment law attorney, LAW 104: Coordinating the Triad of FMLA, ADA, & Worker’s Compensation runs from 6-7:30 p.m. on July 14 in Savannah.

Scheduled at the Coastal Georgia Center, the seminar addresses issues of paid leave, accommodation of injuries through light duty assignments, tardiness/absenteeism policies and more.

Participants with any Professional in Human Resources certification (PHR/SPHR/GPHR) will earn 1.5 recertification credit hours from the HR Certification Institute.
