2.24 Judith Chmiel
Judith M. Chmiel

Judith M. Chmiel, a physical therapist who loves working with and helping people, has joined locally owned Spine and Sport.

Chmiel graduated from the University of Georgia in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in science and a major in biology.

After working as a physical therapist aide for a year, she was accepted into the master’s program for physical therapy at UGA and graduated from the program in 2006.

Shortly after, Chmiel moved to Savannah and gained experience working for a physical therapy outpatient center in Savannah and Garden City. There she worked with patients ranging from orthopedic impairments to neurological involvement.

She also worked as an outpatient therapist treating mainly workman’s compensation injuries and nursing home residents on an as-needed basis.

Chmiel has been a member of the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) since becoming a student in 2003. Her future plans are to specialize in the McKenzie program and becoming a certified manual therapist.
