After weeks of negotiation, the much-discussed and often contentious service delivery strategy between the cities and the county appears ready.
Effingham County commissioners, by a 4-2 vote, have given their approval to a list of stipulations detailing those services the county can levy property taxes in the municipalities for and which services it shouldn’t.
“We’ve been dealing with the issue for quite some time,” County Administrator David Crawley said.
