Family Promise of Effingham Director Leah Kessler said the annual event is a major fundraiser for her organization, which helps homeless and low-income families achieve sustainable independence. Earlier in the day, the new Family Promise House on the church grounds was dedicated. Family Promise of Effingham recently moved from Guyton to the corner of Rahn Road and Hwy 21.
