Funeral arrangements have been made for the 4-year-old Effingham County boy who died following a head-on collision on Highway 17 Friday afternoon.
Owen Davis Rivers, 4, died and his mother, Adrianna Flowers, 22, of Guyton, was seriously injured as a result of their car being hit head-on by Robert Kenneth Waugh, 38, of Guyton.
Waugh had a suspended driver’s license and was driving recklessly prior to crossing the center line and hitting Flowers’ car, according to investigators. Waugh’s injuries were described as life-threatening.
Visitation for Owen Rivers will be held Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Riggs Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Elam Egypt Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Elam Egypt Cemetery.
