Rincon TSPLOST project set to start June 21

RINCON -- Roadway demolition and asphalt paving operations on Georgia and Savannah Avenuare are set to start June 21.

Construction, expected to last three to four weeks, will take place on Georgia Avenue and Savannah Avenue from. W 9th Street to W. 5th Street from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. The duration of this work will depend on conditions encountered.

Georgia and Savannah Avenue will be closed to through traffic while construction takes place, meaning only residents and other traffic that require access to a destination within the limits of construction are allowed in and out. Residents will have access to their driveways/homes throughout the day and both streets will be opened back up to all traffic at the end of each day.

 The work is funded by the recent TSPLOST approved by Effingham County voters.
