ATLANTA — A retired railroad engineer from Rincon has reached a lucky crossing. Larry Findley won $100,000 playing the Georgia Lottery instant game Millionaire Super 7’s.
Findley purchased his ticket at Shell, located at 588 S. Columbia Ave. in Rincon. He scratched the ticket at home.
“I started shaking, and I kept looking at it and looking at it,” Findley explained.
The 55-year-old said he plans to invest his winnings.
“I might enjoy a little bit of it,” he added.
Millionaire Super 7’s offers prizes up to $1 million.
Since its first year, the Georgia Lottery Corporation has returned over $9.5 billion to the state of Georgia for education. All Georgia Lottery profits go to pay for specific educational programs including Georgia’s HOPE Scholarship Program and Georgia’s Prekindergarten Program. More than 1 million students have received HOPE, and more than 850,000 4-year-olds have attended the statewide, voluntary prekindergarten program.
