The South Effingham Lady Mustangs volleyball team will make its way to Atlanta’s Westminster on Saturday for the state sectionals.

The Lady Mustangs (25-10) hosted the Area 3-AAA tournament and won two of four matches, with both losses coming to St. Vincent’s Academy.

South Effingham beat Glenn Hills 25-19 and 25-20 before falling 25-18 and 25-15 to SVA.

SVA downed South Effingham 25-20, 25-18 and 25-14 in the championship match.

South then beat Glenn Hills again, 25-15 and 25-15.

The Lady Mustangs will open the sectionals against Cass at 3 p.m., with the winner meeting the winner of the Chamblee-Woodland match at 6 p.m.
