Second Lawsuit Targets Effingham IDA
The Southern Environmental Law Center filed the lawsuit Monday in Effingham County Superior Court on behalf of environmental group One Hundred Miles and Effingham County residents. The suit names the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority as the defendant and alleges violations of Georgia’s Open Meetings Act and Open Records Act

GCSU awards diplomas to two local students

MILLEDGEVILLE — Two students from Effingham County earned their degrees from Georgia College and State University following the completion of the spring 2013 semester.


Jehan Bostick of Guyton was awarded a master of education in educational technology.


Ashley Jenkins of Springfield earned a bachelor of arts in English.


Dr. Steve Dorman, president of Georgia College and State University, awarded the degrees to the graduating class of 2013.
