Hospital auxiliary seeks new members

Would you like to take part in something extraordinary, to meet and help new and interesting people in your community?  If so, then signing on as a volunteer member of the Effingham Hospital Auxiliary may be the smartest thing you’ve ever done.

The charities of life are scattered everywhere and every fresh act of benevolence is the herald of deeper satisfaction.  The Effingham Hospital Auxiliary is a longstanding institution in the community.

Annually members of the Auxiliary receive high praise for logging more than 6,000 volunteer hours of service within the hospital. Volunteers’ services are of considerable importance to patients as well as the health care system in general. Some people volunteer during high school or college, either out of curiosity about the health care profession or in order to satisfy community service requirements. Others volunteer at later stages in their lives, particularly after retirement.

Whatever your reason may be joining the volunteers is an exciting opportunity for you to help others. The Auxiliary provides compassionate support to patients, families and visitors and also performs vital fundraising to support special projects that benefit the hospital and the community.

The Effingham Hospital Auxiliary offers the unique opportunity to enroll as a volunteer and give a little of your time for a good cause.

To sign up feel free to call Effingham Hospital Auxiliary President Brenda Rabon at 484-4732.
