A Rincon woman who had been reported missing two and a half weeks ago is back home safe and sound, according to the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies had been looking for Myra Armendariz, 29, who has a diminished mental and physical capacity. Armendariz also does not speak English.

Before her disappearance, she was last seen walking down Oglethorpe Road in the Westwood Heights subdivision.

The ECSO thanked everyone for their help in trying to find Armendariz.
