Rincon man killed in Monday collision

A Rincon man was killed and a Springfield man was hurt in an accident on Fort Howard Road early Monday afternoon.

The collision took place around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fort Howard and Seckinger Ford Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The victim was driving a 1989 Ford F-150 pickup when he hit a 2006 Dodge Ram head-on.

The victim’s name has not been released, pending notification of the next of kin.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident.
