Armstrong Atlantic State University junior outfielder Shelby Duff has been named to the 2012 Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American Division II softball team.

Duff, who was named to the second team as an outfielder, is just the second Armstrong player to earn Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-America softball honors in the program’s history.

The former ECHS star carries a 3.63 GPA in radiologic sciences and was a first-team All-Peach Belt Conference and NFCA All-Region outfielder, hitting .416 with six home runs and 30 RBIs in helping the Pirates capture the 2012 Peach Belt Conference regular season title.
