Georgia Southern’s annual “Meet the Eagles” is set for Aug. 17 at the Eagle Soccer Field. The event will be the first opportunity for fans to pick up their 2013 #TrueBlue schedule poster.

Members of the men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball and football teams will sign autographs beginning at 10 a.m. That will be followed by the football team’s final scrimmage of fall camp across the parking lot at Paulson Stadium.

Due to construction at Paulson Stadium, “Meet the Eagles” will be held at the Eagle Soccer Field which at the western end of the Erk Russell Athletic Park on the Georgia Southern University campus.

Fans also will have an opportunity to meet the cheerleaders, GUS and each squad’s head coach.

The men’s soccer team opens the home schedule Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. against Winthrop in the SoCon-Big South Challenge. GSU women’s soccer hosts Stetson on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. while the volleyball team plays at home for the first time Sept. 10 against Georgia at Hanner Fieldhouse.
