A second-half goal by Bailee Hildebrandt powered Effingham County's girls soccer team won 1-0 victory over Calvary in its 2021 opener Tuesday.

Freshman goalkeeper Dayanara Figueroa had eight saves.

"Overall, we defended well but it was obvious that we can improve," Lady Rebels coach Wade Wright said.
