Second Lawsuit Targets Effingham IDA
The Southern Environmental Law Center filed the lawsuit Monday in Effingham County Superior Court on behalf of environmental group One Hundred Miles and Effingham County residents. The suit names the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority as the defendant and alleges violations of Georgia’s Open Meetings Act and Open Records Act

Rebels' Wallace receives offer
Texas A&M

Effingham County football standout Keion Wallace has received a scholarship offer from Texas A&M.

Wallace, a wide receiver/defensive back/return specialist, will be a junior for the Rebels this fall. He was recently named Region 2-AAAAAA's co-player of the year in basketball.
