Second-year Georgia Southern University head football coach Chris Hatcher and head men’s basketball coach Jeff Price will be the featured speakers at the Effingham County Eagle Club on April 24.

The event will be held at Effingham County High School at 6:30 p.m. The program includes a low country boil and a special children’s program featuring the Center for Wildlife Education.

All Georgia Southern University fans in Effingham County are invited to attend. Hatcher will offer his outlook on his 2008 signing class, spring practice and the 2008 season. Price will offer a retrospect on the 2007-2008 basketball season.

In Hatcher’s first season as head coach, the Eagles improved from the previous year’s 3-8 record to 7-4, narrowly missing Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) playoffs.

Tickets for the event are $10 per person. Children 10 and under are free. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Charles Hartzog at 754-6599, Harry Shearouse at 754-0754 or Wendel Wilson at 754-3012.
