SEHS FBLA means business

The SEHS FBLA had 14 members compete at the region level in Jesup last month. Fourteen members of the South Effingham High School Future Business Leaders of America competed at the Georgia FBLA Region 3 Leadership Conference in Jesup on Jan. 21.  

Placing in individual events were: Grant Barnett-third place, Business Communications; Randy Stapleton-third place, Computer Applications; Meredith Lamb-fourth place, Economics; Brittany Horton-third place, Economics; Randy Stapleton-second Place, economics; Donald Quinones-sixth place, Introduction to Business Communication and fifth place, Impromptu Speaking; Emilia Truluck-second place, Introduction to Business Communication and first place, Word Processing 2; and Brandon Cody-third place, Public Speaking I.

Placing in team events were: Sierra Asuncion, Jennifer Attaway and Meredith Lamb-fifth place, Business Ethics; Kristen Cremeans and Brittany Horton-first place, Business Presentation; and Grant Barnett, Ross Barnett and Micah Christensen-third place, Emerging Business Issues.

All written competitive event contestants, Business Presentation, Computer Applications, Word Processing 2, and Emerging Business Issues contestants will represent SEHS at the State Leadership Conference in Atlanta from March 26-28.
