SEMS cheer team wins first state championship

The South Effingham Middle School competition cheerleaders ended their competition season winning the 2015 Georgia Middle School state championship. This is the first year a state competition has been held at the middle school level in Georgia. The competition was held at the Jefferson High School Arena on Nov. 7.

The SEMS cheerleaders were undefeated all season and also also won the Coastal Empire region championship for the fifth year in a row.
