Tania Michèle Floyd and Scott Douglas Johnston were married on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at the Carl House in Auburn, Ga.

The Rev. Kurt Sovine officiated the 7 p.m. ceremony. The wedding took place in the garden of the Carl House plantation. A reception followed the ceremony in the Carl House ballroom.  

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Floyd Jr. of Rincon. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Ruth Canter of Asheville, N.C., and the late Mr. Harry J. Canter; her paternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Floyd Sr. of Rincon.

The groom is the son of Ms. Easter Johnston of Ducktown, Tenn., and the late Mr. Bob E. Johnston. He is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Talley of Ducktown, Tenn.; his paternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Trent Johnston of Tifton.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Mrs. Kathy Phillips as her matron of honor, Ms. Joni Dassow as her maid of honor, with bridesmaids Ms. Mollie Wheeler and Ms. Mandi Williams. Flower girls were Miss Mallory Tweedell and Miss Emma Talley, cousins of the groom. Bridal registry attendant was Miss Makinsey Tweedell, cousin of the groom.  
The groom chose his cousin, Mr. Tommy Talley, as his best man. Groomsmen included the groom’s brother, Mr. Bobby Johnston, along with Mr. Mike Tweedell and Mr. Patrick Fotsch. Ushers were Mr. Reyn McMillan and Mr. Lindsay Tucker.  

The bride is employed by the U.S. Secret Service in Atlanta. The groom is employed by Petroleum Transport Company, also in Atlanta. The couple honeymooned on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. They will reside in Atlanta.
