The Rincon Police Department recently honored the graduates of its first Citizens Police Academy.

For 10 weeks, 13 people from the community learned about the different aspects of police work, including criminal investigations, traffic management, drug enforcement, use of force and search and seizure.

All participants received a certificate for completing the program, designed to create a better understanding between citizens and the police department.
