Stowers named to STC Foundation Community Council

Steven G. Stowers, an architect at Lott + Barber, has been named to the Savannah Technical College Foundation’s Community Council.

“Savannah Tech has the distinction of being the region’s top technical college,” he said. “I’m honored to serve on this prestigious advisory board and to help Savannah Tech achieve its goals for the future.”

A successful commercial architect, Stowers has worked on a number of Savannah Tech projects over the past several years. He helped develop the Savannah Technical College master plan and helped design new buildings at the college’s Liberty County campus.     

Stowers is a partner at Lott + Barber, a leading commercial architecture, sustainable design and community planning firm headquartered in Savannah, where he oversees project development for institutional, commercial and civic buildings. He also supervises the firm’s sustainable initiatives and coordinates Lott + Barber’s projects seeking LEED Certification.

He currently serves as president of the Savannah Chapter of the American Institute of Architects,   secretary of the Virginia Tech Alumni Chapter of Savannah, and is past president of the Savannah Young Architects Forum.

Originally from West Virginia, Stowers earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2001 and resides in Savannah.
