Criminal Trespass

When pulling into her driveway, a woman noticed a white male wearing saggy blue jeans and a white t shirt, jiggling her door knob appearing to try to get into the residence. She said this has happened several times before but she has never done anything about it. When the suspect saw her he ran off the porch and went down the road.

Criminal Trespass

A woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly forced his way into her home and in rage knocked over a shoe shelf. She stated that he was there to get his clothes which she had in a bag by the front door. He grabbed some pictures from her room, ripped some, and took some, then left.

Simple Battery

A man stated that his boss at the Auto Shine Car Wash in Rincon assaulted him. He explained that while detailing a vehicle, his boss walked up to him and began to cuss at him. He attempted to step back and that is when his boss allegedly picked him up and slammed him. The boss stated that the complainant was cursing and complaining in front of customers and, when confronted about it, became belligerent. He stated that he only pushed him with one arm causing the complainant to fall.

 

July 30

Criminal Trespass

Unknown individuals were spotted at a construction site stealing property. The complainant had one offender blocked in with his vehicle. He stated he found the offender removing items from the dumpster and admitted that the items were to be exposed of but gave no permission for the offender to be on the property. The offender explained that he was trying to get some trashed lumber to make a doghouse for his children. The offender was transported to the Effingham County Jail.

 

July 30

No Insurance

A Silver Chevy Cruze was observed crossing the center median line three times before correcting its driving. A registration check revealed the vehicle had no insurance and had suspended registration. The vehicle was then towed away.

Criminal Trespass

A woman stated that a red older model truck pulled into her driveway and sat there for approximately fifteen minutes. When she walked outside, the female driver advised that she was at the wrong house and drove off.

Possession of Methamphetamine

During a traffic stop, the odor of burnt marijuana was smelled coming from the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle, there was a small cellophane package containing Methamphetamine under the passenger seat. The rest of the vehicle was searched and a burnt marijuana cigarette was found within a cup.

Theft by taking

A man stated that his roommate came in the house and took the T.V. along with a Crate Club 20 tube Amplifier. There was no sign of forced entry.

Simple Battery

A woman stated that she was at her boyfriend’s house when he started accusing her of cheating on him and began choking her with his hand. He then allegedly walked outside and began punching his car and when she tried to keep him out of the house by shutting the door he forced his way back in and started choking her again.

Identity Theft Fraud

A woman stated she received a credit card bill in the mail from Chase that stated that she owed $324.36. She stated that she looked further into the issue and noticed that the address on the card was a former friend of hers. She stated that her former friend got her name and information and opened the account has not paid any of the balance.
