Sen. Jack Hill (R-Reidsville) announced that he will offer for reelection to his tenth term in the state Senate. Sen. Hill has represented the 4th Senatorial District of Georgia since 1991.

“I have worked hard for the citizens of the Fourth District and tried to represent them in a way that would reflect their values and help move our area forward in education and economic development,” Hill said.

“In addition, as Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee since 2002, I have worked to meet the needs of Georgia’s citizens and manage the state’s finances in a conservative manner. We have built Georgia’s Reserve Fund from nearly zero to $1.5 billion, which we may need over the next year or so,” he continued.

“With decisions looming on water resources, education funding, tax reform, energy independence and transportation, effective representation has never been more important,” he said.

“I hope constituents will continue to contact me with problems and with issues to discuss.  Your counsel is always welcomed. Our office has helped hundreds of constituents with issues and I pledge to continue that same responsive service.”
