Ware County nipped South Effingham 3-1 in a Region 2-AAAAA softball game in Waycross on Tuesday.

South Effingham (7-10) was limted to five hits and committed three errors. The hits were tallied by Alex Brown, Ashleigh Woods, Kaley Stone, Chloe Strickland and Jenna Trimmer. Brown drove in he lone Lady Mustangs run.

Nevaeh Herrod worked six innings for the Lady Mustangs, allowing seven hits with one strikeout and no walks.
