GSU football tix renewals begin Friday

Renewals for Georgia Southern football season tickets are near their highest levels and on July 15, the Athletics Ticket Office will begin taking new orders for the 2011 season. A limited number of both bleacher back and bleacher seats are available in the mid-section stands on the press box side of Paulson Stadium. Tickets in Section C, D and E are $135 each with a donation to the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation required for those areas.

Other seat locations on the south side of Paulson Stadium are priced at $125 each with availability in sections B and F. Each ticket in sections J and K is $135. No donation is required for those locations in sections B, F, J or K.

The Subway Family Plan returns for 2011 with more than half the allotment already spoken for. Fans interested in the Subway Family Plan must purchase a minimum of three season tickets at $75 per ticket with seating in Sections A and G of the south stands or in the grass areas.

Season tickets and the Subway Family Plan may be purchased online at www.GeorgiaSouthernEagles.com/tickets or by calling the Athletics Ticket Office at 800-478-9467. The Athletics Ticket Office, located at 203 Lanier Drive in Statesboro (Cowart Building), is open for ticket orders Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Some seat locations may require a minimum donation to the Georgia Southern Athletic Foundation and those arrangements must be made at the time of purchase.

The Eagles open the 2011 home campaign on Sept. 10 against the Tusculum Pioneers and after a bye week, Georgia Southern plays host to Western Carolina on Sept. 24.

In October, two more Southern Conference foes travel to Paulson Stadium. The Eagles play Chattanooga on Oct. 8. Furman heads to Statesboro for an Oct. 15 date that fans should mark on their calendar as the "Blue Out" game and the day Georgia Southern pays tribute to the 1986 national championship team

The October homestand ends with a contest versus Presbyterian College on Oct. 22 as Georgia Southern will show appreciation for the members of the Armed Forces. Nov. 5’s homecoming game against The Citadel ends the 2011 regular season.
