Mr. and Mrs. Kevin L. Richard of East Northport, N.Y., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Nicole, to Skylar Frederick Long, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Frederick Long of Rincon.

The bride elect is a 2006 graduate of the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in fashion merchandising. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Jorgensen of Spring Hill, Fla., and is employed with the Effingham County Board of Education.

The groom elect is a 2006 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is the grandson of Mrs. Theresa Rawlings of Marietta and the late Mr. Robert Rawlings and Mr. and Mrs. T.R. Long of Waycross and the late Mrs. Verna Long. He is employed with Long Builders, Incorporated.

The wedding is planned for May 25 in Baiting Hollow, N.Y.  Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Rincon.
