Second Lawsuit Targets Effingham IDA
The Southern Environmental Law Center filed the lawsuit Monday in Effingham County Superior Court on behalf of environmental group One Hundred Miles and Effingham County residents. The suit names the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority as the defendant and alleges violations of Georgia’s Open Meetings Act and Open Records Act

Ashcraft speaks to Rotary
10.10 sunrise rotary

Effingham County Public Safety Director Val Ashcraft told the Effingham Sunrise Rotary Club on Tuesday morning about technology improvements in the communications systems that keep emergency services connected in Effingham and surrounding counties. The upgrades will keep Effingham County in touch in spite of terrorist attacks or natural disasters.
