At its Feb. 4 meeting, the Effingham Exchange Club members and guests listened to veteran Lynn Wardlaw speak about his time serving in the Navy and the challenges he faced when he wanted to publish his first of three books.

His stamina and determination in overcoming many challenges with the publication of his books confirmed his statement that “God has a plan for everyone.” His book “Louisiana Boy” talked about the first 15 years  f his life in Louisiana.  His book “Me, My Torsk and God” is a true story of God’s plan for a young sailor in the submarine service.  Wardlaw said that his book “Jaacov”  was dictated to him by the Holy Spirit.

The Effingham Exchange Club meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Ameris Bank in Rincon for lunch, fellowship and to hear great speakers.
