The Effingham County Victim-Witness Assistance Program held its annual candlelight vigil for domestic violence awareness month on Tuesday.

Presentations were made to Victim-Witness by Effingham Hospital, Loose Threads Quilting Group, Making Memories Pottery, Target and Guyton Christian Church. Ruth Brown, the receptionist at ECVWAP, read a poem written by Dawn Loetscher.

The “Clothesline Project,” sponsored by Parent and Child of Union Mission, also was on display at the event.
