Guard rail repair along a stretch of Highway 80 in Effingham County will take place Wednesday-Friday this week, between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., weather permitting, the state Department of Transportation announced.

The work will be on the  westbound lanes at milepost 0.5.

Motorists are advised to reduce speeds as they travel through this maintenance work zone. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
