Retired Sgt. Maj. Tony Supthin from the West Chatham Detachment of the Marine Corps League spoke to the Rotary Club of Effingham County about their sponsorship of the “Vietnam Moving Wall” in Pooler from Oct. 28-Nov. 1.

The Moving Wall is a half scale replica of the Vietnam Wall, the Vietnam memorial in Washington, D.C. A group of Vietnam veterans put together the mobile version of the wall so that people across the U.S. could experience the Vietnam memorial.

The West Chatham Detachment of the Marine Corps League worked with support from many area residents and businesses to raise the funds needed to bring the Moving Wall to the area.
